A 3 Week Experience Designed for Adults 55+This stage of life brings freedom, wisdom, and opportunity, but it can also come with real transitions. Changes in routine, roles, relationships, and energy levels can leave people wondering: What’s next for me? How do I stay connected, confident, and fulfilled?
The Golden Hooves is a welcoming, hands-on program created specifically for adults age 55 and up who want to stay engaged, build confidence, and enjoy meaningful connection, all in a relaxed outdoor setting alongside our calm, well-trained horses!
What You’ll Experience
Each week, you’ll spend 2 enjoyable hours at the barn, guided by our certified Equine Assisted Learning facilitator. There is no horseback riding and no prior horse experience required!
- Enjoy a relaxed coffee social to connect with others before beginning
- Begin with a clear introduction to the week’s focus
- Work in small groups, paired with either a miniature or full-size horse
- Spend time grooming and interacting with your horse, then moving through gentle, engaging activities designed to support communication, confidence, and teamwork
- End each session with a guided group conversation to reflect on the experience
All activities are done on the ground, at a comfortable pace, and with safety as a top priority. A full orientation and safety overview is provided.

Horses respond honestly to how we communicate, move, and show up. Working alongside them offers simple but powerful insight into:

- relating to others across generations
- staying present and engaged
Program Details
3 week program (Mondays: May 4th, 11th, and 18th)
2 hours per week (10am-12pm)
Ages 55+
No riding / no horse experience needed
Participants must be steady on their feet
Work with miniature or full-size horses
Coffee social included each week
By the end of the program, participants leave feeling re-energized, more confident, and better equipped to navigate the changes and opportunities that come with this next chapter, along with a few new friendships, both two-legged and four-legged!
