About this Event
Winter at The Gleaners
The Gleaners and Forest Poets are hosting an evening for listening, eating and gathering. There will be homecooked Gleaner's stew, with time to eat and chat before hearing poems from Forest Poets and music from local accordion player. Jonny Hoyle. It will be cozy, it will be warm. We'll finish the evening with an open mic, so think mid-winter and bring along a poem to share - one you wrote, one you found on the back of the toilet door, one you want read at the funeral, or something inbetween.
As our cafe is, this is a pay-what-you-can ticket. Please consider giving us some much needed support and paying the full price, which includes a hot meal. Equally, no one will be turned away for lack of funds - please reach out if these prices are unaffordable to you at the moment.
We won't be serving alchohol, but feel free to bring your own beer or wine. And as always, bring everyone you know or feel free to come to this event alone (many a friend has been made at the Gleaners Cafe).
