The Girl Buoy Swim ChallengeNew to ocean swimming or simply looking for a challenge? The Girl Buoy Swim Challenge is to swim to Cable Buoy at Takapuna Beach, following the yellow 5 knot buoy line.
Each person registered for the swim will receive an entry plus a swim cap. Achieve the goal of reaching cable buoy and receive one of our amazing custom made medals.

This event has been carefully planned and organized for your utmost enjoyment and safety. To ensure a smooth and comfortable swim, we have divided it into 3 start groups, with slower swimmers starting first.
This is a group swim, not a race, where the focus is on camaraderie and completing the course together. Each group will swim between yellow buoys, approximately 250m apart. After each stretch, we will regroup and catch our breath before continuing to the next buoy. This will give everyone a chance to rest and stay together as a group. The total distance is 3200 meters. With the shore only ever 350 meters away.
