About this Event
The Gift of Pause: Creative Process Workshop for Caregivers
In this hands-on workshop, we will use the Jewish Studio Process* methodology of conversation and creative expression, to explore the power and necessity of bringing more moments of pause, peace, and quiet into our lives. As we cope with caring for older loved ones, it is more essential than ever to make space to tune into ourselves and what we need/want on this journey. JSP offers a dynamic and effective framework for creating these moments through a mix of text study, intention-setting, and creative exploration. The experience makes space for individual reflection while being held in and by community.
This 90-minute workshop is designed for people of all ages, faiths and backgrounds. No artistic experience is necessary. Materials will be provided.
*The Jewish Studio Process integrates the intuitive art-making and reflective writing approach of the Open Studio therapeutic model, with deep text study, a traditional Jewish mode of learning. No Jewish identity or experience is necessary.
