*TICKETING & DOOR POLICY*
Whilst we occasionally run ticketed Friday Night Specials, entry for our regular weekly Thursday club nights is on a first-come-first-served basis and unticketed and we do not take advanced seat bookings.
Entry for regular club nights is free, we pay our guests by way of a *CASH* collection. Whilst we understand that some simply haven't the means to make a contribution and absolutely DO NOT wish to exclude them, we expect those who can to make as generous a donation as they are able in recognition of our guest's work.
*PLEASE CHECK FOR UPDATES BEFORE SETTING OUT*
Life is full of unexpected ups and downs, illness, weather and other unexpected things can spoil the best made plans. We may sometimes have to change our guest at short notice, or even cancel an evening altogether. To avoid disappointment please re-visit the relevant night's event for updates *BEFORE* setting out.
*THE GIDDY AUNTS
Sally Blyth and Jane Foggin are both aunts. They can both get quite giddy, especially under the influence of their preferred substances.
Jane has a long history in folk and roots harmony singing, performing in bands such as the Outlaw Sisters, and the Backyard Buskers. A versatile singer who accompanies herself on guitar, banjo and ukulele she’s also known for warm humour and a wide range of influences from the Carter Family to the Grateful Dead.
Sally has an astonishingly wide musical CV embracing post-punk, garage rock jazz and prog weirdness, plus an appearance in the heats for the Belgian Eurovision entry in 2002. Sally specialises in vocals and bass but has a dabble in many other instruments too. She runs Singing for Health groups for various charities in Sheffield and Leeds. She’s not at all funny.
A deep interest in singing and thoughtful arrangements unite these two talented women to create a genre-spanning setlist of aural delights.
Doors open 8:15, *PLEASE WAIT DOWNSTAIRS UNTIL CALLED*
Singers and musicians of all standards and styles are welcome to come along and do a short floor spot.
Free entry: Collection & raffle for guest.
