Now in it’s 9th year The Ghostlight Sessions is one of the country's longest running established original emerging music nights. Each night features 3 30 minute sets performed by some of Ireland’s best new musical talent. So come along and discover your next new favourite artist!
Alder is a folk group rooted in song, story, and atmosphere who blend original material with re-imagined traditional songs.
With a sound influenced by Irish folk, Americana and modern acoustic songwriting, Alder’s close vocal harmonies, acoustic strings, and spacious arrangements create a reflective, quietly powerful performance where their subtle dynamics and storytelling hit you right where good music should.
Marty Smyth is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Donegal. After many years as a bassist and collaborator (with Winter Mountain and In Their Thousands amongst others), a move to London inspired a new focus on solo material, drawing inspiration from the likes of Sufjan Stevens, Justin Vernon, Jack Steadman & Adrienne Lenker.
2025 saw the release of his first offerings as a solo artist – 3 singles which form part of a collection of songs that chart a transformative time, moving from rural Ireland to the canals of London.
Derry-based composer/songwriter/pianist Neil Burns, with years of songwriting and performing under the moniker Comrade Hat and collaborations with artists including Victoria Geelan, Velvet Alibi and Great White Lies, has released his first album under his own name.
Golden Sunsets invokes chamber music, jazz, suave tango and sultry Bossa brought to life by a stellar ensemble with horns and strings featuring superlative musicians including the Henry Girls, Meilana Gillard and Laura McFadden. It was launched with a full 13-piece ensemble at Brilliant Corners festival in Belfast earlier this year.
