A travelogue to give us hope for spring in the depths of winter. Presented by the Springfield Garden Club with the Springfield Museums.
About this Event

The Springfield Garden Club in association with the Springfield Museums presents a travelogue to inspire us all as we spend the winter months dreaming about summer. New England has a rich gardening heritage. Author of “The Garden Tourist's New England,” garden designer Jana Milbocker will take you on a fantastic tour of gardens and nurseries in New England and will provide all the information you need to make the most of your visit. From the breathtaking flower gardens of Mount Desert Island in Maine, to Colonial Revival gardens in Connecticut and New Hampshire, topiary gardens in Rhode Island, and botanical gardens in Vermont and Massachusetts, there is something for every gardener to enjoy in a tour of the region.

Admission: Free to Springfield Garden Club members and Springfield Museums members. All others are $10 per person. Tickets are required for all, even for those with free admission.

Jana Milbocker is the principal of Enchanted Gardens, a lecturer and author. She combines horticulture, design, and travel tips to educate, inspire and delight both new and seasoned gardeners. Jana loves to visit gardens and historic sites in the U.S. and abroad, and share her trips through her books, photos and blog. Trained as a graphic designer, Jana brings years of critical design thinking, clarity and cohesiveness to her landscape solutions. Her professional experience includes twenty five years as an art director and designer. Jana holds a BFA from Syracuse University, an MBA from Boston College, and coursework in horticulture and landscape design.
