Ladies & gentlemen, meet the Gandalfinis!Drummer Marios Nicolaou, bass player and occasional vocalist Constantinos Messios, trumpet player Michalis Michael, guitar player and vocalist Gregory Artemides, keyboard player and vocalist Argyro Christodoulides, will return to Sarah's Jazz on Saturday on Friday 23 January for an unforgettable evening of funk, soul, and Jazz.
Their repertoire is diverse and draws inspiration from a variety of cultural sources, just like the band's name. The playful fusion of James Gandolfini's character from The Sopranos and the wizard Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings came to Messios, who gave the band its name.
"Maybe we think of ourselves as street music wizards? Who knows?" - the band members laugh.
