Grab your vintage Hawaiian shirts, cat-eye sunglasses, and sun hats — The Gand Band is riding a wave of vintage cool with Surfin’ Safari, a toe-tapping celebration of classic 1960s surf music. Turn your transistor radios all the way up — the soundtrack to California’s endless summer is here! Featuring MR. PIPELINE Tod Macofsky rocking the vocals, Gary BIG KAHUNA Gand on reverb-drenched guitar, and Joan and the AD-VENTURES bringing the era to life with grooves that make you want to twist, shimmy, and shout.

Join us for a night of retro beach bliss. Surfin’ Safari isn’t just a concert — it’s a joyful throwback to the coolest sounds of the ’60s, delivered Gand Band–style: tight, lively, and guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
Winner of the CV Independent’s Best Local Band for FOUR years running, this dynamic husband and wife team bring their Chicago sound to the desert.
Veteran bluesman Gary Gand handles the six strings, driving the band, channeling a bit of Freddie King, Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck rolled into one. Keyboardist Joan Gand grooves on classic Hammond B-3 style organ and blues piano with inspiration from Booker T, Ray Charles, and Otis Spann.
Throughout this series of monthly concerts, special guests will join the Gand Band including top notch performers from both Chicago and San Diego.
The Gand Band appears in the film,"My Name is Lopez" - a documentary about 60s celebrity vocalist/actor Trini Lopez. Trini was a frequent guest performer until his death in 2020.

• Doors open at 6pm with a 7pm showtime. Feel free to arrive early to enjoy drinks!
• Drinks served throughout the show, there is no minimum order.
• No refunds except for COVID-related shutdown.
• Free covered parking in attached garage.
We cannot take cash at the door (casino policy). We can accept credit cards at the door if seats are available.

The casino allows smoking but there is no smoking in the Cascade Lounge
Food is not served in the Cascade Lounge but can be brought in from any of the casino restaurants. We do have a full bar with no drink minimums.
