About this Event

Join us for a Buffett Conversation with acclaimed author and journalist Nicholas Kralev, Executive Director of the Washington International Diplomatic Academy. Over his 20 years of experience covering international affairs, Kralev witnessed the inner workings of American diplomacy while accompanying four U.S. Secretaries of State on their missions across nearly 100 countries. He will offer insights into the challenges and opportunities facing the next generation of diplomats. In conversation with Northwestern’s Ambassador in Residence Ian C. Kelly, who served as U.S. Ambassador to Georgia from 2015 to 2018 (among other roles), Kralev will share perspectives on how effective diplomacy can influence global politics and the ways in which governments can strengthen their diplomatic services to better address global challenges.
