Someone To Tell It To is very proud and honored to be a sponsor of Friends & Neighbors, this beautiful documentary by brothers filmmaker Benjamin Wagner and senior editor Christofer Wagner. Benjamin came to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in March 2025, to see I’m Proud of You - the play that STTIT co-produced with Open Stage theater - about journalist Tim Madigan’s deep friendship with U. S. children’s TV icon Fred (Mister) Rogers.
Benjamin, who wrote, produced, and directed Friends & Neighbors, also knew Fred Rogers, who encouraged and reassured Benjamin during a time in his life that was also emotionally turbulent and unsettling. It follows his 2012 PBS documentary, Mister Rogers & Me.
There is a deep synergy between Benjamin’s mission of creating art that explores mental and emotional health challenges and STTIT’s mission of supporting people in the midst of those challenges.
Both STTIT and Benjamin look to Fred Rogers as a hero of theirs. Fred’s values and example of kindness, generosity of spirit, and unconditional love align perfectly.
On Thursday, April 23, 2026, Benjamin Wagner will be in Harrisburg, PA, at the region’s PBS station - WITF - for the local premier of Friends & Neighbors, at an event presented by Someone To Tell It To, before its national premier in May.
