Facilitator's Bio:
Tamela Julia Gordon is a New York City-based writer, editor, community organizer, and literacy activist. Her first book, Hood Wellness: Tales of Communal Care from People Who Drowned on Dry Land was released in 2024 to critical acclaim. Her work has been featured in The Washington Post, Essence, Elle, American Library Association, and more. She's currently completing her second book, She Writes to Live, published by Row House Publishing.
