The workshop is led by Emi Tachibana, founder of Riverside Wrapping, a NYC based creative specializing in Japanese gift-wrapping, furoshiki, and Mizuhiki design. Emi brings traditional Japanese techniques into modern life through workshops, pop-ups, and collaborations with cultural institutions and global brands.

Her handcrafted Mizuhiki earrings are currently carried at the Japanese American National Museum gift shop in Los Angeles, and her work has been featured at museums, corporate events, and cultural festivals across the U.S.
