Experience a captivating musical journey through time and across continents as the ever-popular Four Seasons by Baroque master Antonio Vivaldi is paired with the sultry, tango-infused Four Seasons of Buenos Aires by Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla.
The concert opens with a special performance by Youth Symphony musician, Collin Talbot, showcasing an excerpt from Piazzolla on accordion—a vibrant prelude to the evening’s exploration of rhythm, color, and emotion.
Featuring the virtuosic Soundscapes String Ensemble with violin soloists Emma Rubinstein and Dallin Hansen, this thrilling program weaves together the timeless elegance of Vivaldi’s beloved concertos with the bold, passionate rhythms of Piazzolla’s modern masterpiece.
The evening also includes Conversations with Carrie, a lively chat with the musicians hosted by Symphony Executive Director and historian Carrie Athay, offering audiences a chance to go inside the music, explore the stories behind the composers, and deepen their connection to the performance.
