About this Event

An effective safety management system is essential for maintaining OSHA compliance and preventing workplace injuries and illnesses. For many organizations, especially those with complex operations, developing and implementing such a system can feel overwhelming. This course, presented by OSHCON, explores practical tools that streamline the analysis needed to identify hazards, evaluate existing strengths and weaknesses, and establish meaningful performance indicators.

A strong management system begins with understanding the hazards present in the workplace, assessing how well current processes and procedures are functioning, and pinpointing areas for improvement. The insights gained from this analysis provide a clear roadmap for setting goals and objectives that support the successful implementation and continuous improvement of your safety management system.

Topics Include:

  • Why do safety and health programs differ from human resource programs?
  • The importance of a safety management team.
  • Continuous improvement is required for the safety management system.
  • Simple analysis for creating a safety management system.
