About this Event
THE FORTY FOURS + JONAH HITCHENS AND THE SNAKE BOYS AT THE HOLROYD ARMS.
The Forty Fours
The Forty Fours are a London-based three-piece guitar band driven by melody, immediacy, and the kind of live energy that turns casual listeners into regulars. Drawing on the sharp songwriting and harmony-led approach of classic British rock, the band deliver concise, hook-filled songs that feel current rather than nostalgic.
Built from the stage up, The Forty Fours have earned a reputation as a powerful live band through regular shows across the capital, including performances at the 100 Club, The Spice of Life, and Dublin Castle. Their sets blend high-impact originals with reworked classics, creating a sense of momentum that has helped them build a loyal and growing audience.
The band have completed their debut album and are now entering a focused release phase, rolling out original material designed to capture the urgency and connection of their live shows. With a strong grassroots following and a clear creative direction, The Forty Fours are positioning themselves for their next step forward.
Jonah Hitchens and The Snake Boys
Jonah Hitchens is making serious waves in the UK Funk & Soul scene having fronted Lack of Afro on their 2025 tour— a respected and well-loved name on the circuit known for infectious grooves and high-energy live shows.
Now, Jonah steps forward with a different beast entirely.
The Snake Boys is a crusty, unadulterated blues trio — loud in spirit, tight in execution, and soaked in vintage tone. Drawing inspiration from icons such as Jimi Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, B.B. King and The Meters, the band fuse swaggering blues riffs with groove-heavy rhythm and raw rock & roll electricity.
With attitude and grit, The Snake Boys deliver a timeless Blues/Rock energy that feels increasingly rare — no polish, no backing tracks, no gimmicks. Just guitar, amp, rhythm section and sweat.
