About The ConcertLast season’s concert featuring Dinuk Wijeratne achieved instant legendary status. He cast a spell over the audience as well as the musicians, conjuring a communal musical experience of rare beauty. Don’t miss his return, conducting music that’s close to his heart, including a dramatic and emotionally wrought concerto written for concertmaster Robert Uchida, and a serene, impressionistic tone poem inspired by the majesty of a forest. Wijeratne describes the musical fabric of his own tone poem as “a multiplicity of voices, lines, and themes that decide – on a whim – when to coalesce and coexist”.
This concert will not include an intermission.
