The Floating Men at Turntable in Indianapolis on Saturday, April 18, 2026!Formed in Nashville in 1990, The Floating Men built a loyal following across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic with their high-energy, all-acoustic rock shows. Founded by guitarist Jeff Holmes, bassist Scot Evans, and Berklee-trained drummer Jeff Bishop, the trio quickly became road warriors—playing more than 100 shows a year and releasing their debut album Tall Shadows in 1993 on their own label, Meridian.
Known for blending roots rock with folk, country, bluegrass, and blues, the band continued to evolve through acclaimed releases like Invoking Michelangelo, Lemon Pie, and Heroes, Felons and Fiends, while documenting their fan-favorite live performances through the long-running Bootleg Snacks series.
Throughout more than a decade of prolific touring and recording, The Floating Men stayed fiercely independent, relying on their tight connection with fans—known as the “Floatilla”—to fuel a career defined by creativity, grit, and genre-blurring songwriting.
