Unless you've been living under a rock this year, you're most likely aware of the padel phenomenon! Even if you haven't picked up the sport just yet, we bet you've heard of it and even gone to watch a few matches here and there! Sports fans this one's for you! We're super excited to share that up next, The Hungry Post is hosting the first-ever padel tournament at Reserve Padel's waterfront VIP courts in Watson Island Park, near the MacArthur Causeway on Saturday, November 4th starting at 5 PM.

Are you a padel player? Or are you more into watching the match while you sit back, relax, and chat with old and new friends? It doesn't really matter, because you can do both at our upcoming Padel tournament. This is the perfect chance to meet and connect with new friends that share similar interests when it comes to sports.

Hungries, get ready for a fun and sporty afternoon, filled with signature Sipsmith Gin cocktails and an exclusive Sipsmith Gin tasting experience as you watch your fellow Hungries play against each other. Oh, and of course, if you're a player you can join in on the fun after!

The tournament will be a round-robin. Sixteen players will sign up as doubles for a total of eight pairs. Pairs will be split into two courts and each pair will play against everyone in their group. The top two will advance to the semifinals, and so on (you get the picture). The tournament will start at 5 PM and will go on for 3 hours. After this, la rumbita begins.

As for the off-court experience, non-players can watch and cheer on the players! If you know us, you know we love to eat and drink! This time around, we'll be munching on yummy snacks, sipping on muchos Sipsmith cocktails, and listening to buena musiquita Latina by our resident DJ's Ricky Fernandez, Juan Diego Viteri and Rayan Alami (obvio)!

As for the food we will munch on cheeseburgers (single or double) and chicken sandwiches.

This is our first padel tournament EVER and you seriously don’t want to miss it! Whether you are looking to get in a little exercise on a Saturday afternoon or you just want to watch the game, mingle, drink, and eat, we'll be waiting for you!

This is a smaller than usual event, so we highly recommend you get your tickets quickly before they fly!
