See where it all started: the first Labour Day Classic in 1949!This upcoming Labour Day long weekend, the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers will meet for the 60th Labour Day Classic in Regina.
On August 26, join the Provincial Archives of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame for a special event, "The First of 60: A Classic Labour Day Rivalry" to view colour footage of the first official Labour Day meeting in 1949 with commentary from an expert panel featuring Roughrider historian Rob Vanstone and local historian Tom Fuzesy.
The Provincial Archives of Saskatchewan will host the event on August 26 at 7 p.m. It is free to attend. Doors will open at 6 pm.
