Educating students since 1914: For generations, the halls of Ocean Gate Elementary have been more than just a place of learning. They have been the foundation of our community, the starting line for lifelong friendships, and a second home where we took our earliest steps toward the future.As many of you know, following the recent referendum vote, our beloved school will be closing its doors permanently at the end of this academic year. While it is heartbreaking to see this chapter end, we have the power to decide how we say goodbye.
We are calling on all OG Gators—no matter what year you graduated or how far away you live now—to return for one last gathering. We want to come together for 'A Final Toast' to Ocean Gate School, standing as a unified presence as we officially say goodbye. Let's raise a glass in honor of the dedicated teachers and staff who gave so much to our town over the years and give this beloved school the unforgettable send-off it deserves.
How You Can Get Involved:
• Wear Your Pride: Bring your own shirt! We will have a station set up at the event to press and add your specific Ocean Gate affiliation onto the back. https://stores.farrostees.com/ocean_gate_school/shop/home
• Contribute to the Memories: Dig into your archives and email your favorite snapshots and class pictures to [email protected]. We will be incorporating these into a final carousel presentation to be displayed during the celebration.
