SPECIAL SET BY DJ Al Gu: Expect heavy bass, jungle/breakbeats and electro from Al’s genre-bending DJ sets.
"Al Gu is a DJ/Producer, mainly recognised for their Goop EP, as well as their involvement in music related Community Building Projects throughout Scotland: Faerie Circle and Slàinte Mhath and their one off event with baile/baile - Na Gabh Dragh (a club night with an included Gaelic lesson at Summerhall). Starting their career curating and producing collage works for the exhibition Finding contentment at Bridgend Farmhouse, Al expanded to nightlife events, DJ-ing and sound production. Their music has been a part of Your Tears Taste like Sugar at Petersburg Art Space, Works in Progress on EHFM and short film Waiting for Marcus. They also have a regular EHFM show ratarsed with Faerie Circle Co-creator Malicedeejay, showcasing oddball selections and excellent yapping."
THE FILM CULT FUNDRAISER
Through the provision of film equipment we have supported over 150 local film projects, distributed over £100,000 of equipment and saved filmmakers over £30,000.
Over 90% of surveyed users say they would not have been able to access the equipment at all if the project did not exist.
We have collected over 230 pieces of filmmaking equipment and through a dedicated volunteering effort we have just about managed to maintain and ensure the continued running of the project over the last year.
We are looking for funds in order to complete maintenance on our regularly used equipment so that it can last for future users of the share. We also hope to purchase new equipment to expand what we can offer filmmakers, levelling up the gear options for indie filmmakers
