After over a decade of years of building community through music in Fargo, North Dakota, 1PrettyRicky (Richard Pallay) is closing this chapter in the most fitting way he knows, by bringing everyone to the table one last time.
This fall, Richard and his family are relocating to Valencia, Spain. Before they go, he is throwing The Farewell Cookout. This will be his final DJ set in Fargo, and a celebration of everything this city has meant to him, his family, and the WEAREONE collective he built from the ground up.
Richard has been a fixture of the Fargo-Moorhead creative scene since 2013. As a DJ and MC, he has produced concert-level experiences across North Dakota and nationally, collaborating with over 60 partners through WEAREONE, his DJ collective and social agency. He has been featured in Fargo INC., TRENDSETTERS, and Living in Fargo-Moorhead Metro, and was selected as a 2025 Bush Fellow by the Bush Foundation for his work using music as a tool for community healing and inclusion.
The Farewell Cookout is more than a show. It is a proper sendoff that is warm, celebratory, and wide open to everyone who has ever been part of this journey.
The night features live performances from an incredible lineup that we can't wait to share, and the The Farewell Cookout Mixtape also drops the same night.
Admission is pay what you can, even if that means nothing at all. 1PrettyRicky does not want money to be the reason a single person misses this night. He just wants to spend his final night with each of you.
