About this Event
Where Legacy Meets Leadership
A family business is more than a company.
It’s history. It’s sacrifice. It’s identity. It’s Thanksgiving conversations and boardroom decisions intertwined.
And at some point — whether carefully designed or unexpectedly forced — every family business reaches a moment of transition.
Ownership changes. Leadership shifts. Roles evolve.
The question is not if this will happen.
The question is whether the family will be prepared — together.
The Family Business Forum is a new event series created specifically for privately held, family-led companies. This is not a generic business seminar. It is a space intentionally built for both the senior and rising generations to sit side by side and confront the conversations that are often postponed.
Because what is left unsaid in family businesses doesn’t disappear — it compounds.
For our inaugural forum, Natalie McVeigh will lead a conversation on: Options for Exit: Planning for Transition Before It Plans for You.
Many family business owners dream of either cashing out, passing the company to their children, or preserving the legacy long-term. In reality, there are several viable pathways — and the preparation required for each is more similar than most realize.
Family companies will inevitably experience a change in leadership due to intentional or unintentional forces. Proactive planning dramatically reduces stress, conflict, and lost enterprise value.
