About this Event

The Fall of the Ottoman Caliphate

What collapsed 600-years of Muslim Unity?
The ‘Arab Revolt’ is only part of the puzzle.

An analysis of the Ottoman Khilafa’s dissolution (1876–1924), examining the transition from universal spiritual authority to fragmented ethnic nationalism.

This lecture explores the pivotal geopolitical stance of Sultan Abdul Hamid II, the internal ideological shifts led by the Committee of Union and Progress, and the eventual collapse of the Islamic social contract under the pressure of Western secular-nationalism. A forensic look at how Asabiyyah (tribalism) replaced Aqeedah (faith) as the state's primary bond.
