About this Event
When: Tuesday 5th May 2026 / 6pm - 8pm
Where: Claire’s House Pottery, Barton Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP32 7BE
Cost: £18 (includes a cuppa and biscuits!)
Spaces: Limited — booking essential
Join us for a calm, informal evening of creative play designed to soothe the busy mind, challenge perfectionism, and gently build your creative confidence. Each session starts with short, guided warm-up exercises from Issie to help you loosen up, quieten inner chatter, and embrace playful experimentation with both conventional and unexpected art materials. After the warm-up, you’ll have time for relaxed exploration as you respond to a seasonal still life; plus time to chat, drink tea & eat biscuits!
This is not about producing a polished finished piece or following a strict lesson plan. It’s about the experience: stepping away from screens and daily demands to refill your creative cup and reconnect with curiosity.
No experience required—my motto: you don’t have to be good at art for art to be good for you.
Bring: Just yourself — materials are provided. Wear something you don’t mind potentially getting a little messy!
All welcome.
Spaces: Limited — booking essential

About Issie Freeman & The Everyday Creative;
Issie studied Fine Art at Bath Spa University, and has continued to make and create in a wide range of mediums ever since! Recognising the benefit creating and being creative has had in bringing her into the present moment (out of her busy mind) and regulating her nervous system; she is now passionate about about sharing this with others.
Issie loves supporting people to (re)engage with their creativity in a supportive and welcoming environment; through 1-1 coaching and creative workshops.
In 2019 The Everyday Creative was born, to facilitate a friendly, inspiring and relaxed environment, through creative workshops, exploring the benefits that creativity has on our well-being.
Issie believes wholeheartedly that you don’t have to be good at art for art to be good for you.
