The Everest Bakery Run

We are running 8.8km through the streets of Amsterdam - the height of Mt. Everest (8,848m) - to fuel a journey from the canals of the Netherlands to the highest peak on Earth.

The organizer, Andrew Dawson, will be climbing Mount Everest in April/May 2026, and attempting to climb the final mountain in his Seven Summits journey (the tallest mountain on every continent). He will be doing this in spite of his Ankylosing Spondylitis diagnosis, a rare form of arthritis that can cause spinal fusion.

We run to celebrate the importance of movement. 50% of all proceeds will go directly to the Dutch Rheumatology Association () to fund research and support for those living with inflammatory arthritis.
