The Eternal Song is a cinematic journey through timeless lands and the Indigenous cultures rooted within them. Voices across communities and generations call us to witness the deep scars left by colonization on both lands and peoples, while illuminating the healing made possible through ancestral wisdom.Entrusted with these stories, the film invites us to grapple with colonial legacies, intergenerational trauma, and our own sense of fragmentation. It reveals how modern life has severed our connections to nature, to one another, and to the ancestral realm—offering instead hollow promises of salvation, endless economic growth, and individual fulfillment.
As we are drawn into an intricate web of kinship and the honoring of Mother Earth as a living presence, something ancient awakens. Sacred dance comes to life, and we begin to hear the eternal song of existence—calling us back to remembrance, relationship, and belonging.
This is a collaborative screening with The Centre for Inspired Living and the Museum at Campbell River.
