About the Speaker
Kyle Royer began his career in public accounting with Logan Katz in 2013 as a co-op student through Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business Program. After his co-op placement, Kyle joined Logan Katz on a full-time basis in May 2015, obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2018 and became a partner in 2023. Kyle has acquired extensive experience in several multi-disciplinary areas of public accounting, including personal and corporate taxation, owner-manager remuneration and tax planning, assurance (review and audit) engagements, business advisory services, and processing claims for Scientific Research and Development Investment Tax Credits (SR&ED). This experience has exposed Kyle to a wide range of industries.
Kyle utilizes his expertise as partner of the Logan Katz Toronto Office and works closely with the firm’s Toronto-based clients. Through the firm’s partnerships with DMZ (Ryerson University accelerator), Kyle has also been able to offer his experience and knowledge to a number of the top tech start-ups as a Professional-in-Residence at DMZ. Kyle has been involved with dealing with simple agreements for future equity (SAFE), convertible debt, SR&ED claims, and many other tech-related issues.
