HYFLEX EDM SIMPLIFIED FOR EVERYDAY USE
About this Event

To equip clinicians with a repeatable, step-by-step endodontic protocol — from access cavity design to canal shaping — that prioritises precision, safety, and predictability using HyFlex EDM in everyday practice.

Objectives:

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

1. Design conservative and ‘tailored to the tooth’ access cavities that optimise visibility, access, and tooth preservation.

2. Outline the obvious orifice locations. Think systems not canals! Portals of Entry and Portals of Exit evaluated.

3. Outline the clinical rationale behind controlled memory file systems (Hyflex EDM) and how they influence canal preservation.

4. Apply torque, speed, and sequence parameters specific to HyFlex EDM safely and effectively.

5. Incorporate glide path management and coronal flaring into a reproducible shaping workflow.

6. Evaluate the role of irrigation dynamics in achieving effective post-shaping disinfection.

Learning Outcomes:

After completion, delegates will:

• Confidently design access cavities that enhance shaping efficiency and canal negotiation.

• Locate orifices with improved accuracy and reduced risk of iatrogenic errors.

• Shape canals safely and efficiently using a simplified, evidence-based HyFlex EDM sequence.

• Minimise procedural complications through standardised, reproducible techniques.

• Deliver endodontic treatment with enhanced predictability, precision, and patient satisfaction.
