The Embodied Character: A Two-Day Physical Theatre Workshop with Flora Bare
Discover character from the outside in. Drawing on techniques inspired by Jacques Lecoq, Commedia dell’arte, and Viewpoints, this workshop investigates how posture, rhythm, and spatial relationships shape identity and reveal the psychology of relationships on stage.
For over two decades, Flora Bare has explored and taught physical embodiment to actors, dancers, and circus artists. In this intensive, participants will gain practical tools to create characters grounded in the architecture of the body and its connection to others in space.
This workshop is ideal for performers, directors, and creatives seeking a deeper, more physical approach to character development and storytelling.
Location: Burning Coal Theatre, 224 Polk St, Raleigh, NC
When: December 22nd and 23rd
Time: 6:30-9:30pm
Cost: $150
