In this class, we will use brush pens as an introduction to the art of calligraphy. Their flexible tips allow you to explore the graceful contrast between fine upstrokes and fuller downstrokes. This variation in line is the hallmark of elegant script and reflects the principles of traditional pointed pen calligraphy. Through guided practice, you will begin to develop rhythm, control, and confidence in your strokes. By session’s end, you will leave with beautifully practiced letterforms and the foundational skills to continue your calligraphy journey.
