The Egg are dance floor technicians - they play live rocktronic, funk and house inspired big textural dance music. Their live performances are legendary multimedia experiences where they combine electronic and live instruments with synched video samples with vocoder’d live vocals to create a audiovisual show that draws its sonic Inspiration from bands the likes of Pink Floyd, New Order, Underworld, Air, Ulrich Schnauss, LCD soundsystem and anything underground and electronic.
The band are based around twins Ned (keys and vocals) and Maff Scott (drums), with bass and guitar- up to 4 -people but often have guest musicians: Moog bass, guitar, slide guitar, vocalists, rap/ beatbox, theramin, flute, violin, video artists and live painters, & Midi controlled video samples on LED screens.
The band are well known on the UK festival circuit and the club scene, performing in a range of different situations. They have played throughout Europe, Australia and Brazil, India, Ibiza, and USA Jam scene, (16 visits inc NYC), and alongside Lotus, Disco Biscuits @Nokia Theatre NYC & Camp Bisco NY, Youth’s ‘Space Mountain’ (Granada), recently playing Goa, Malta, California & Hawaii. They have worked with / remixed by: Tocadisco, Mylo, David Guetta, Rollo (Faithless), Camille Jones, Next men, Fila Brazillia, Psychemagik, Freddy Mercury (remix), Dusty Kid, Ulrich Schnauss, White Bully, DJSasha Oliver Koletski, Gaudi, Greg Hunter (Orb),Youth (Pink Floyd), John Monkman, Matt Black (Coldcut) & producers Robin Twelftree, Benji Vaughan, Bruno Ellingham, Tripswitch, Tim Holmes & John Leckie.
They have enjoyed a worldwide hit with the massive (Berlin based) Tocadisco electro-house remix of 'Walking Away' and the David Guetta bootleg that followed (no.3 UK charts, no.1 (Spain 6 weeks), and the biggest selling dance tune in the world that year. They also co-wrote ‘For Lovers’ with Pete Doherty (UK no7) & TOTP performance.
