About this Event
We're exploring how AI isn't actually making some areas of our lives easier and what we can do to combat this.
We use AI to answer questions, make certain processes easier, and take care of the jobs that are time-consuming and/or dull.
Whilst there's a lot of talk around the uncertainty it brings and how AI gets it wrong, there's not as much about the negative impacts its having on a human level?
People are increasingly turning to AI instead of friends, family, or colleagues, often accepting its answers without question. AI relationships are frictionless, which can create unrealistic expectations for real-world connections that are inherently messy and complicated. We're also neglecting skills we once practiced and developed, finding it easier to let AI handle tasks rather than investing time in building our own capabilities.
We'll be talking about all these impacts and more during the LIVE podcast. Sarah, Jack and Tazmin will be sharing their own thoughts and experiences, along with practical startegies you can implement to combat The Efficiency Paradox when it comes to AI.
How does a live podcast work?
We will be recording an episode which will be published on their podcast feeds. However, there is a twist!
This is no ordinary episode; it will be carried out in front of a live audience, at the wonderful venue Ironworks Studios, meaning that our community will be able to gain a snapshot into the production of the SEO Mindset and Search with Candour podcasts.
There will also be an opportunity for a live Q&A to really help you be part of the process!
Once the episode has been recorded, it will be available on the usual podcast directories, such as Spotify, Apple and Amazon Music.
It will also be streamed on YouTube!
The event will also be streamed live on Silicon Brighton's YouTube channel, so if you can't make the event in person, you can join online!
The SEO Mindset podcast gives actionable growth tips and development advice so that SEO professionals can optimise their careers, and not just the algorithms!
Each week hosts, Sarah McDowell and Tazmin Suleman, with the help of their guests, delve into important topics that are often not spoken about, sharing their own experiences, along with practical tips, guidance and advice. Topics covered so far include imposter syndrome, self-belief, anxiety, mindset etc.
Search With Candour features the latest SEO news and in-depth interviews with the world's best digital marketing professionals.
Each week, Jack Chambers-Ward is joined by one of the world’s leading SEO and PPC experts to discuss a topic of their choice ranging from broad topics such as avoiding burnout as a content creator and the importance of cultural understanding to more technical subjects like pagination in ecommerce and how to conduct SEO audits.
Once per month, Jack is joined by his co-host Mark Williams-Cook to host a live episode of the podcast recapping that previous month’s biggest SEO news stories.
Official brightonSEO fringe event
We've made it folks! This event is an offical brightonSEO fringe event!
brightonSEO may have started out in a room above a pub with a handful of people, but it grew quickly from there. Today, thousands attend the search marketing conference and series of training courses held in the UK and the US.
It brings together some of the best speakers in the world of search, and is a chance for SEOs to meet, learn and learn how to do their job a little better.
This isn’t an event that just tells you ‘content is king’ or ‘don’t translate your site, localise it’ and all those other conference cliches. It’s hands on. It’s detailed and it’s practical. It's a chance to attend a conference featuring sessions from some of rest of the world’s best search marketers.
