About This Training
This intensive 6-hour continuing education workshop is designed for licensed mental health professionals in Nebraska seeking to fulfill their required Major Mental Illness CE hours. Delivered in two powerful parts by the clinical team at Restore Rebuild Reconnect Counseling Center, this training sharpens your diagnostic reasoning and challenges the assumptions that compromise clinical accuracy.
Part I — The Dx Files: Cracking Major Mental Disorders (3 CEUs) equips clinicians with a structured differential diagnosis process for Schizophrenia Spectrum disorders, Bipolar I & II, Major Depressive Disorder, and PTSD. Through case vignettes, interactive activities, and clinical tools, participants will strengthen their ability to navigate overlapping and ambiguous presentations with confidence.
Part II — Mind the Gap: Where Bias Meets Diagnosis (3 CEUs) examines how implicit bias, structural inequity, and systemic barriers lead to misdiagnosis and underdiagnosis, particularly among BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and disabled communities. Participants will leave with concrete tools and a commitment to personal practice change for more equitable, accurate clinical assessment.
This training is interactive, case-driven, and built for real clinical application. Participation is expected come ready to engage.
Lunch will be provided.
