About this Event
Early accounts of Cork born & bred four-piece the drive. began moving through Ireland on word-of-mouth, earning a reputation for shows in cramped rooms and basements - drawing Parallels to The Cure, Interpol, and Deftones. The band quickly commanded attention with a string of singles supported by streamers and tastemaker press including The Irish Times, The Line of Best Fit, and Dork Magazine.
Having operated with a sense of purpose shaped by circumstance, the drive. were drawn together by shared struggles. Raised in often overlooked areas, the songwriting reclaimed agency in a world that often felt directionless, approaching familiar themes with sincerity & weight. Over the course of nearly seven years, that same intensity bled into their live shows; where controlled chaos met an almost confrontational vulnerability across sold-out headline shows and dark, packed-out festival tents across the UK & Ireland.
the drive.’s final chapter concludes at the bands favourite venues, starting at Dublin’s The Grand Social (June 2nd) and making their way back home to Cork’s Coughlan’s (June 4th).
