Wasn’t sure if we would ever be able to replicate the prowess brought to the inaugural C9 shanty night by our friend Seán Dagher, but alas…behold the mighty Dreadnoughts!
That’s right, our other absolute favorite assemblage of shantyfolk from either side of the 49th parallel are bringing their brand of Canadian folk punk & maritime music to New Haven on Wed, Dec 4.
For this special occasion, ye Dreadnoughts will be trimming their sails & whittling down to a near acoustic-only format, focusing specifically on the sea shanty & maritime aspects of their repertoire. Prolly gonna wanna get those tickets in advance folks, this ol’ gal will likely sell out.
We here at My Druthers are honored to be sharing the stage with some of our very own heroes. So raise your glasses, raise your voices, and maybe take the next day off work. This one’s gonna be a doozie!
