About this Event
Join the Team Behind Crewe’s New Youth Zone: The Dome Recruitment Event
We’re building something special in Crewe and we’re looking for people who want their work to have real impact.
On Friday 15 May, 9:30–1:30, we’re hosting The Dome Recruitment Event at Crewe Market Hall, designed to give you a genuine insight into what it’s like to work at The Dome Youth Zone and how you could be part of the team bringing it to life.
Delivered in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions, the event will introduce the roles we’re recruiting for, the culture we’re creating and the difference we aim to make for young people across the town.
Why come along?
This event isn’t just about vacancies, it’s about understanding the purpose behind them.
The Dome Youth Zone is part of the OnSide Youth Zones network, providing young people with a safe, inspiring place to go, supportive adults to talk to and opportunities to develop skills and confidence in order to reach their potential. To make that happen, we need a team that believes in young people and wants to help create a space that truly belongs to them.
At the event, you’ll:
- Hear the vision for The Dome directly from our CEO
- Learn how different roles contribute to supporting young people
- Get a feel for the culture and energy of the Youth Zone
- Speak with the team about opportunities, expectations and progression
- Take part in a short interactive activity that reflects our youth work approach
Two sessions to help you explore the right roles
To make sure everyone has time to ask questions and connect with the team, the event will run across two bookable sessions.
Session 2: 11:30 – 12:30 | Delivery Team Focus
This session focuses on the people working directly with young people and the community, including:
- Team Manager – Community
- Deputy Youth Work Manager
- Sessional Youth Workers (6–30 hours)
We’ll talk about youth work in practice, including open access provision, community engagement and the opportunities for training, development and progression within the team.
At each session you'll have the chance to meet members of the team, ask questions and understand what it’s really like to work here.
You’ll hear about what a typical day might look like, the skills and values we’re looking for and how these roles support both the team and the young people who will use the Youth Zone.
Please note that in line with our Safeguarding Policy, you must be age 21 or over to work in our Senior, and SEND sessions and 18+ to work on our Junior Sessions.
