Welcome to The Disabled People's Assembly!
This International Day of Disabled People (December 3rd, 2024, 10 am - 4 pm), the Manchester Disability Collaborative (MDC) invites you to the Disabled People's Assembly, a day dedicated to empowerment, advocacy, and community building.
What to Expect:
- 10am- 12pm: A strategic review of the Manchester Disability Collaborative’s work so far. Discussing our progress and barriers in the city.
- 12.30- 2pm: Have your say on Health and Social care in our focus group/ conversation space with Foundations for Change.
- 2.30-4pm: Free art workshop with Venture Arts.
We want to ensure this is a comfortable and inclusive experience for everybody.

Accessibility Information:
The building is Level Access.
The Event Space is on the 2nd floor, accessed by lift or stairs.
There are accessible toilets throughout, and one Changing Places which staff can show you to.
Assistance dogs welcome.
There will be regular rest breaks.
We will have a BSL interpreter present.
COVID-19 policy- we encourage masking for those who are able, and ask that anybody who feels unwell attends online rather than in-person.
