About this Event
Come on down to read your work, tell your jokes, bear your soul, all while accompanied by the coolest backing band since the invention of Ray-Bans. Open mic list is up at 8 pm, show to kick off ~9; slots for first and second half, alongside a waitlist. Don't see room on the list? Talk to Nark, and they'll see what they can do. Slots are 1-2 poems, 1 song, or approximately 6 minutes. Let the houseband know if you need their support!
Daisy Jane (they/them) is a semi-kind of-sort of-professional actor. They started writing poetry a few years ago due to the influence of the many poets of the Dirty Gerund. Their acting credits include Snout/Wall in Midsummer Night’s Dream at The Hanover Theatre Rep, Tilly in She Kills Monsters, and Ariel in The Little Mermaid to name some of their favorite roles. They are excited to be a 2026 Commonwealth Shakespeare Company apprentice. In their feature they hope to make you hate Shakespeare a little less, enjoy poetry a little more, and be your favorite local annoying theatre kid.
