The Honorable Dennis Curran will speak at the Library at 6pm. This year, we celebrate the Sesquicentennial of our nation - the 250th anniversary of the founding of our country, with the Declaration of Independence issued on July 4, 1776. It is time to be inspired. We turn to our Founders whose vision turned the world upside-down. Thirteen British colonies on the Atlantic Coast rose in rebellion, won their independence, and established a new form of government that radically reshaped the continent and inspired centuries of democratic movements around the globe. We learn some of the backstories behind our Founding, and reveal facts not before known.
