This is for you if:
- You miss having a proper social life
- You want to meet new people (without the awkwardness)
- You’re tired of surface-level chat
- You want to open up about how bloody hard life is, but never get the chance
- You just want a good night out, with a bit more meaning
Why it matters:
A lot of dads feel isolated - and it only gets harder to stay connected.
Dad La Soul flips the script: a great night out on the surface, with real support underneath.
Fed up with not really having a social life or mates to talk to properly? You’re not alone.
As you get older, circles shrink. Babysitters cost a fortune, hangovers hit harder, and old mates fade into the occasional like on Facebook. Too often, your social life ends up shaped by the school run.
Fatherhood can be brilliant, but it can also be brutal. And when dads do ask for help, they’re often brushed off or told to “suck it up.”
That’s why Dad La Soul exists.
We take a Trojan Horse approach to men’s mental health. On the surface, it’s a great night out. Underneath, it’s a ready-made network of peers and support where men can talk about the stuff they usually avoid.
Because most lads’ nights are about pretending everything’s fine.
Ours isn’t. You’ll laugh, but you’ll also have the space to be honest about life, fatherhood, and how things really are.
No judgement. Just people who get it.
Come for the chaos. Stay for the connection.
Who is it for?
Dads and male-identifying carers, 16+, from all backgrounds and situations.
It doesn’t matter what your postcode is, your marital status, or the size of your bank balance.
Whether you’re married, single, co-parenting, or still figuring it out, you are welcome.
1 in 3 dads feel lonely most of the time
1 in 5 UK men have no close friends
Suicide is still the #1 killer of men under 50
Dad La Soul exists to change that.
.“If someone’s going to Dad La Soul, it’s really, really unlikely I know the evidence is with me on this one – that there will be some sister or mother setting up yet another charity because their son or their brother has taken his life.”
— Noel McDermott, Psychotherapist
