The Croydon Creative Lab: A Session in Collective Curiosity
Croydon Makers & Creators invite you to an evening of creativity, curiosity and collaborative making.
We will be joined by Sam Furness, founder of Creative Quests, for an evening exploring how creative thinking can reshape the way we experience everyday life. Sam will share reflections from over a decade of creative experimentation and participatory projects, followed by a series of short, playful “creative quests” designed to help us see the world through new lenses.
Alongside this, Croydon Makers & Creators’ commissioned artist-in-residence Anita Wadsworth will introduce her Creative Networking Dream Score, a participatory performance score exploring how we meet, introduce ourselves and connect in creative spaces.
To complement the spirit of sharing and collaboration, we’ll be serving Greek-inspired food designed for communal eating and informal conversation, bringing people together around the table as well as through creative practice.

Donation Station
From June we will be trialling a Donation Station at CMC events, a space for creative exchange, reuse and collective support.
We invite you to bring along any creative materials or objects you would be happy to donate, which can be sold at a small cost to help support Croydon Makers & Creators and our future events.
This might include:
- artwork, sketches or prints
- old props or set materials
- costume jewellery or accessories
- creative tools or resources
- books, zines, or play texts
- materials or objects from past projects
Anything is welcome, as long as it has a creative use or story behind it.
All proceeds go towards supporting CMC and helping us continue to programme events like this.
Please note: as we do not have storage, any items that do not sell will need to be taken back by the donor at the end of the event.
