About this Event
The Creative Woods moves to an exciting new location, Chorlton Waterpark, for this creative wellbeing winter workshop. Offering mindful and arts based activities we will have a space to just be, and deepen our connection with Nature in a new way. Weather permitting, we will hopefully have time both outdoors and indoors (in the cosy Tibetan Kitchen converted bus).
We will reflect on hibernation, a quiet period in the cycle of nature when resources are scarce, and collect materials from the waterpark for our 'hibernation boxes'. We will then celebrate finding new growth at the end of winter, and how this relates to our lives, with pencil drawings following warm up drawing activities.
In the break we will be treated to a Tibetan Kitchen hot drink and veg momo (dumpling) or cake.
All materials provided. Open to all those aged 16+, no art experience necessary.
TIckets £25 (+ Eventbrite fee), reservation essential. There are also 2 concessionary places for £15 - please email Steffie directly for these: [email protected].
Please note the workshop space in the bus is upstairs (the stairs are steepish, there is a banister on either side). The bus is heated. There are toilets nearby.
The Tibetan Kitchen cafe will be open before and after the workshop. Please see Chorlton Waterpark – Tibetan Kitchen.
Full refund (minus Eventbrite fee) available up to 7 days before the event.
The workshop is facilitated by Steffie's Arts Space. Steffie is a Therapeutic Arts Practitioner, experienced facilitator and qualified outdoor therapist. See www.steffiesarts.com
