About this Event

The Creative Book Club is a book club for those with creative tendencies of all kinds, held at Milk Bar. The group meets every 6 weeks to discuss a book but also if the themes influenced our creativity in any way.

Tickets are limited so please pre-book.

As part of the Book Club the Milk Team design a cocktail inspired by themes and flavours in the book, there is an option to buy this or a drink of your choosing direct from Milk on the evening if you would like.

3rd March Flesh by David Szalay critically acclaimed, Booker Prize-winning 2025 novel that follows the life of István, a detached Hungarian man from his troubled adolescence in a Hungarian housing estate through his rise to the London elite, exploring themes of masculinity, power, money, and alienation through sparse, realist prose that focuses on his physical experiences and rash decisions, sparking debate about modern manhood.
