About this Event
The Courage Code is a youth-centered community event focused on leadership development, gun violence prevention, and awareness. This session is designed to create a safe and empowering space where young people can engage in honest conversations about the impact of gun violence in their schools, homes, and communities while learning how leadership, advocacy, and positive decision-making can help create change.
The purpose of The Courage Code is to encourage youth to use their voices, build confidence, and become leaders within their communities. Through open dialogue, mentorship, and community engagement, youth will gain tools to navigate challenges, promote peace, and understand the importance of conflict resolution, accountability, and civic involvement. Gun violence continues to impact young people at alarming rates, making it critical for youth to be involved in conversations that directly affect their lives and futures.
This event is important because it not only raises awareness about gun violence prevention, but also empowers young people to recognize their value, influence, and ability to lead change. Youth involvement creates stronger communities, encourages peer support, and helps develop future leaders who are committed to making safer choices and creating positive environments for others.
We are also seeking organizations, nonprofits, schools, mentoring programs, and community partners that support youth to attend and provide resources, information, and opportunities during the event. This is an opportunity for organizations to connect directly with youth and families while helping build a stronger network of support within the community.
