THE SHOW:
The Cottage is a romantic and (not quite) murderous comedy of manners. The true meaning of fate, identity and marriage are called into question as a surprising, hilarious web of secrets unravels in this ridiculous, potentially murderous, uncharacteristically feminist 1923 British tale of sex, betrayal and love.
Standard British dialect will used in production.
All roles require moments of physical intimacy (kissing, intimate touch, moments of romantic chemistry/passion.
AVAILABLE ROLES:
SYLVIA – A lovely and rash romantic, Mid 20s-40s
BEAU – Perhaps the best-looking man in Britain; Mid 20s-Late 40s
MARJORIE – Eight months pregnant, pragmatic and a tad spicy; Mid 20s-40s
CLARKE – A distinguished gent with a lover’s spirit; Mid 20s-Late 40s
DIERDRE – An awfully pretty, sometimes wise nincompoop; 20s-30s
RICHARD – A murderous yet gentle soul; 30s-40s
