Most of us inherently know that this phrase means: it means being denied opportunities to prove what you’re capable of, being passed over for promotion or to lead that major project, being paid less than a comparable male colleague…just because you’re a woman! We will highlight this issue in a Town Hall format listening session for our local elected officials. Make plans now to come!
We’ll be at the Appleton Public Library on Saturday March 14 (Pi Day!) from 1:30-3:30 at the Mary Beth Nienhaus Community Rooms ABC to hear women from northeast Wisconsin tell their stories. Then we’ll break up into smaller groups so that everyone has a chance to talk about their experiences before having open discussion with local elected officials.
All are welcome! Just bring your friends and your stories!
