Con Tutti ushers in the season, wassailing, singing and celebrating! The men and women of Con Tutti will sing their solstice concert, “The Christmas Pudding Wassail!” on December 6, at 7:30 p.m. at South Church, 292 State Street in Portsmouth.

"Would you enjoy beloved carols, a shape note tune, a lively South African Song of Christmas Celebration, songs of peace, hope and reflection.....all the ingredients for joy , laughter, and capturing the spirit of the season?" asks Con Tutti director, Joanne Connolly.

"We've having so much fun creating a concert of the traditional, and the not so very traditional celebrations of the small island Scottish town of Mingulay," continues Connolly. "Our concert will discover what happens when a Christmas Pudding goes rogue, and the Strange Men of Minch help save the day." Connolly collected stories and songs of Scotland earlier this year on a singing tour of the Scottish Isles. "The land the people, and their stories and myths were so inspiring ," she shares. "I've loved exploring them for this concert!"
Tony Lee will be on hand as the storyteller. There will be new creations by artist, Nancy Sander. Jonny Peiffer will offer up some great African percussion, and keyboard playing. And Jim Prendergast with his trio on guitar, fiddle, and upright bass will be there to pump up the music from the British Isles!
