ABOUT THIS EVENT
As Catholics, Jesus challenges us to be aware of what is happening in the world around us, to use Scripture and tradition to make up our minds about what we see, and then to commit to action. Using this methodology of "see-discern-act", this presentation will: (1) see the problem of polarization in our world and how it is harmful to the people of God; (2) use the Gospels and the principles of Catholic Social Teaching to understand why polarization is contrary to God's will; and (3) suggest appropriate actions that Catholics can take to "cross over" this divide and work towards hope and love in this world.
